Channel invites based on intake form

The intake form input is saved via a zap to our database.

If the user finally joins slack the 🤖 WoCl bot will try a lookup with the email used in slack and the database column email.

The bot then invites the user based on their interests to the channels that might be useful to them. The current mapping is defined in this google sheet.

Configuration

The configuration takes place in the following files. Adding new configuration will work as soon as they are commited to main

  • The member can be added to the following channels based on the country channel mapping: ‘ASIA’ | 'EUROPE' | 'AUSTRALIA_NEWZEALAND' | 'CANADA’

  • The member will be added to channels based on the city channel mapping
• Add based on program interests: https://github.com/workonclimate/wocl-moderation-bot/blob/main/src/config/programsChannelMapping.ts
  • The member will be added based on selects in the intake form
• Add based on skillset: https://github.com/workonclimate/wocl-moderation-bot/blob/main/src/config/skillsetChannelMapping.ts
  • The member will be added based on selected skillset in the intake form
